modify I/O

Hi,
We have a simatic field PG which we use for the s7-300/400 PLC's.When l highlight a signal 0 or 1 in the programe and right click and click on modify 1 or 0 when the program is online it does not change the status signal if l want to modify, why?:site:

Right-clicking a variable and selecting "Modify to 0/1" will not work on Inputs or Outputs. You have to force those. This is done from a Variable Table and can be very tricky.

If you are trying to modify an M bit and it is not working then something else in the program is writing to the bit.

You can modify inputs with the control at contact feature.
