Hello raj;
If your Siemens PLC is of the S7-300 family, you could setup a CP 341 (serial comm processor) as a Modbus master and request data from your Modicon Slave.
If it is a S7-400, then you could use the CP 441-2 for the same purpose.
Here you can download the manual for the Modbus Master driver manual:
http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1220184
This FAQ mentions all drivers that can be loaded in the CP 341/CP 441-2, so you can select the correct part number:
http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1918186
With this information you can decide if the Siemens driver is a solution for you.
Hope this helps,

hello

one more thing
modbus n/w is on tcp/ip
not on rtu

so suggest some protocol converter
i.e profibus dp to modbus tcp/ip
or vice versa

Hi there
Will the modbus communication take over ethernet? If so then you just need a ethernet cable running between two CPU's. If not then you need CP441 as mentioned by dchartier.

Cant make it from your statements what you have !
