Mitsubishi Servo Deviation Counter??

I am noticing on a Q173 servo system that all of them have an
'Deviation Counter Value' that usually reads in the 80,000 to 130,000 range.....(positive and negative....)

the system is running, but I'd like to know what causes this?
(or....is it normal?)
