UniOP and serial printer (protocol)

Hi every.
I have UniOP. I need logging data. (but i have not printer) It have output for serial printer. I try connect to this port and view who comming from this port. but nothing. Cable is OK. I thing printer send some to OP like "im here and ok" have somebody protocol? Or log of communicate? (priner was epson LX-300+)

Have you got the Pin Out for the UniOP, in other words what wire is connected to what terminal on RS232 port on the UniOp.

No data can be for a few reasons.
The most common is if the cable is wired incorrectly, it is very easy to get TX and RX crossed over.
Then if the Baud rates don't match, though you normally see some "*^%^*)" rubbish on screen for this problem.
Sometimes if the programmer has tried to be very clever and the RS232 port is not so smart then a missing CTS (clear to send) signal can be a problem, but that is why I am asking for the Pin Out, to see if you have a terminal that would need a CTS.

thx. I have diagram cable from uniop. I check it and it is OK. I know every what you say. maybe port is broken.. I send signal DTR to CTS for uniop. (printer ready..)without change. (no characters)..

uniop failure

Dear friends,
I,ve uploaded a project from a uniop (ek-04) and download it to a new idetical one using designer6, all is alright!.. but the problem is that when i download the project(while the uniop in cofig. mode) , the downloading in pc side is achieved successfully but the uniop screen become empty when download is complete!..when i turn it off and power it on , the texts on the screen appear (self test ..the.. uniopver4.40 operation mode) then the screen become empty and no text or software appear on it!..
please help me to solve this problem...
