Problems readin float values from 1769-SM2

We have enery meter that is communicating over RS-485 Modbus to 1769-SM2. Communication between SM2 and Energy meter is fine and i am able to establish the communication between both , however the data coming from meter is in float type ( 2 words) and i have configured my register in AB PLC as INT only and hence the data is not correct.

Can anybody give a solution for this.

PLC is Compact Logix (L32E)
