1747-uic rs 232 mode to micologix 1100

hi;
I have gotten a micrologix 1100 PLC and i am trying to connect with 1747-uic in rs 232 mode, i am using cable 1747-uic to micrologix 1100 1761-CBL-PM02, but cant fint the PLC on rslings.

but when i try to connect to SLC 50/2 using only dh485 with 1747-uic rslings fint it.


need pother cable or cant conect to micrologix PLcs with 1747-uic ??

The ML1100 serial port would have to be configured for DH485 in order for the 1747-UIC to work. If the ML1100's port is configured for DF1 protocol then your
1761-CBL-PM02 and a USB to Serial adapter will work. Do you have one? If not the "Keyspan USA-HS19 is a good one ( see link below for one place to get one)

You need to establish communication either thru its serial port or the Ethernet port and then change the serial ports configuration. You can do this online or down load the new configuration. But getting connected comes first.
