Hi guys,

i am after some advice at work there is a piece of kit which uses a ML1500 and has connected via devicenet 3 x festo input module CP-E16-M12x2 5POL which are nodes 1, 2, and 3 and have sensors feeding them.

if i was to add a second I/P Module what would i need to do to give it a node number for the 1769-SDN see it, and also if i was to add sensors exactly how would i assign each sensor i add to the module its own address i.e I:3/40 for example?

i have looked through the manuals but doesnt give anything that can help me.

regards

Rob

I have only used devicenet with SLC CPUs, but I would expect the ML to be similar. If so, you'll need to set up the scanlist in RSNetworx for devicenet with your changes. To download to the scanner, you'll put the ML1500 in program mode first (or turn off the devicenet enable bit).
