This is the problem that I've been encountered for many years. In my shop, I have a SLC500 7-slot rack/power supply and a CPU SLC5/05 with no I/O cards. If I take any real field program and load it into the processor, it will issue a fault (of course, and I knew that). What is the workaround to make the processor disregard the non-existing I/O's and continues to run?
This feature is already existed with the GE9030 PLC. All I have to do is to clear PLC and I/O faults and the program continues to process. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
