We have a system with a S7-400 and a WinLC-pc.
The S7-400 has an ethernet cp. Both are communication on ethernet with SFB12 and SFB13.
Now we want to split up a part of the communication : we will add an IMP151-8PN cpu that will be connected to the WinLC-pc.
Can the IM151-8PN handle the same communication with SFB12-SFB13 as the S7-400 with cp? Can the WinLC read from more then on plc with the SFB13? (Only about 60 bytes are transfered by each.
When communication is active between IM158-8PN and WinLC, is it possible to connect online with S7 and download on one of the not used ports on the IM158-8PN?
Are there specific parameters to be set in the IM158-PN because the ports are Profinet and not Ethernet?
Thanks.

I believe yes. You can find out by trying to create an S7 connection between the S7-400 CPU and the IM151-8 in NetPro.

Just make several connections.

It is a 3-port switch. So yes.

not really.

In our final configuration we replaced the IM151-8 by a 315 profinet cpu. I cannot test this exact configuration in the office. When I look online in the 315 PN cpu I see no SFB12-13, also when I look online in module information - performance data, there is no SFB12-13. I suppose FB12-13 are based on SFB12-13, as the sfc's are inserted in the offline project when FB12-13 are inserted.
I inserted FB12 in the 315 and no error messaged are displayed. The only communication partner I can set up in the office is a CP343-1 Lean. I suppose the 343-1 Lean does not support FB12-13??
What communciation block should I use between the WinAC and the 315 PN?
