Anyone have any experience with this software suite?

I am soon to do a big project using everything 'Bosch-rexroth'
(It has servos, scada, networking - the lot)

The customer is sending me on a course and supplying the software, so until then I can't get my hands on anything to have a practice or familiarise myself with.

I have searched on here and there are not many topics.

So, any input from anyone will be welcome

HI Goody

I have used it on two projects. You can download it from the web as its free. It was fine to use as I was connected to it with a Allen Bradley over devicenet and I created some add ons to start, stop, enable etc. I have not used the boush plc/Scada so I can not comment. The manuals for the Servo drives were also good and you can download from the web site.
I just had two slides and the motor just ran at different speeds to differant positions (no gearing, camming etc) and I have to say it was perfect after I got the used to the sofware.

Goody,

The PLC part of Indraworks is based on CoDeSys. This is a Tag based, IEC61131 language. You can download a free version of CoDeSys from http://www.3s-software.com/. Depending on the version of Indraworks, you it will be based either on CoDeSys 2.3 or 3.0. The basics are the same but they are not compatible. Unfortunately Bosch Rexroth keeps its own version numbers so V7 and below use CoDeSys 2.x and Indraworks V10 uses CoDeSys 3.x. Here in the states we didn't use V8 & V9 of Indrawords but they may be floating around in Europe?

The low end HMIs from Bosch Rexroth are re-branded Sutron panels ( http://www.suetron.de/eng/index.htm ) and the Bosch Rexroth software is re-Branded TS-Win sofware also from Sutron. I am not aware of any free or demo download of this. The higher end panels run InduSoft ( http://www.indusoft.com/ ) but not every feature from InduSoft is implemented. I'm not sure which version of InduSoft that the Rexroth is based on though.

Hope this helps.
