Is there a DNP3 protocol driver available for the Red-Lion G3 HMIs?

On either the Crimson 2 or Crimson 3 software?

using modbus has many limitations that I could solve with DNP3

It is still on the wish list, but it is being actively investigated. Part of that investigation is what level is required by our users. What DNP level (forgive me if that terminology is messed up) would be required by your applications?

I mainly use the G3 for protocol conversion so I have a standardized way to connect to the machine PLC from MES/shopfloor systems. Now I’m using modbus to read/write to holding registers, only 16bit int and float are possible. Using DNP3 will allow us to read/write events, 32bit int/float, strings and date/time. It will also reduce the network traffic because DNP3 is event based, the master will only report changes to the clients.
