Ml 1400 eds

The main Rockwell Automation EDS webserver search page is here:

http://www.rockwellautomation.com/resources/eds/

If you set the search for Network = EtherNet/IP, Device Type = Programmable Logic Controller and Bulletin/Catalog Number = "1766" you will get two EDS files for MicroLogix 1400 controllers.

Download these files to your desktop or another storage folder (do not put them directly in the /RSCOMMON/EDS folder).

Use the RSLinx EDS Hardware Installation Tool to register the EDS files.

This tool launches from within any of the RSNetworx packages, or via Start -> Programs -> Rockwell Software -> RSLinx -> Tools -> EDS Hardware Installation Tool.

You may need to restart RSLinx or reboot to have the controller recognized.

RSLinx is currently at version 2.57, which includes many new controller support features as well as compatibility with Windows 7. RSLinx Classic Lite is always a free download from the RSI download site.
