Dell computer problem link

I wonder if the following link has anything to do with the problems some of us have had in the past with our Dell laptops.

Everything I've read points to electrolytic capacitors, which are far more common on desktop motherboards than in laptops.

Dell certainly wasn't the only victim of the capacitor plague, but it seems that they managed the problem clumsily.
