Not sure I understand your question. You need RSlogix500 to program your SLC5/05, RSLogix5000 will not work with your processor. Is that what you are asking?

If i understand you correctly, your process has outgrown your processor. Upgrade to the 64K model (1747-L553). Simple upload old program, replace with new CPU and download to new processor.
If your looking at upgrading from a SLC5/05 to a Logix5K you'll need a pro to do it. There are conversions available but they're very hard to understand. Plus the new software is very expensive.
