Is the 1784-PCMK card still available? Trying to order a new one from AB and they are telling me I need a 1784-U2DHP data highway to USB interface.
 
What is involved using this new replacement card they are recommending? Are there after market replacements for what they are replacing the PCMK card with?
 
Yeah, they're expensive.

Depending on your needs, it might be worthwhile to set up a Controllogix Gateway (Logix chassis, power supply, ENBT card, and DHRIO card) and then be able to access your DH+ nodes using ethernet.

If you need something portable, then go with the new cable...

Well, they're the same price as the device they replaced. Plus RA offers a discount (40%, last time I checked) if you trade in a 1784-PCMK. And they work with the excellent Frontline Test Equipment NetDecoder software.

They're not cheap but they are useful.
 
I do agree that they ARE useful, unfortunately do to cost many of us won't experience it.
