urgent help with VFD symbols please

Hi guys'
Hopefully all of you are doing well, I tried every where to find standrad symbols to use on P&ID, we have VFD connected to comprossor and have local Pannel and signals using devicenet to DCS or PLC I want to show all alarms and indicators on the Pannel and the ones on the HMI side I ended up having to many XI's and YI's which became more complecated. any opinion will be greatly appriciated guys

Your best bet is to head over to www.isa.org and navigate to the Standards section. For example, standard no. "ANSI/ISA-5.1-2009 Instrumentation Symbols and Identification" is a 128 page document that shows every conceivable instrument symbol (i.e. HMI, P&ID, panel mount, etc.), line indicators (i.e. instrument air, 4-20 ma current, software connections, etc.), and standard letter designations.

ISA has additional standards that you might find useful, but the above is a good start. If you are a member of ISA, you can view these standards on line for free. Optionally, you can pay to download them. Hope that helps somewhat.

Thanks for the replay, but I do have the s5.1 and s5.3 front of me but clear since I have to many alarms and want them to be different than the ones on the local pannel. I have example on P&ID but they used XI,XA,SI,SY,XSD,XC on the local pannel side and YS,YA,ST,YSY,YSD,YC on the DCS side. for example Fault on pannel side is XA and on DCS side Is YA. I dont know why they chose Y's and X's.
