I want to communicate some Allen Bradley PLCs with a PC running Linux, so, I want find communication routines or some free or non-free package to do this.

Can anybody help me with it? I found information about the ABEL project, but it seems to work only with PLC5 and SLC (not with CLX), and also not finished yet.

Thanks,

HectorE

1. Here is a free one for Ethernet/IP - this is coming along nicely:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/opener/
Ethernet/IP Implicit IO adapter functionality works, and they are currently adding scanner capability.

2. Another is Inductive Automation - runs great on Linux, and has AB drivers as part of the OPC-UA architecture.

Driver support may be an issue depending on exactly what you want to do.
