Hi,
We quoting a project where there are two sets of redundant Siemens S5 (currently running). The customer need to do trending using AB RSTrend on a computer (ethernet). Thus, we are thinking to put in a Prolinx Profibus to Ethernet module to convert profibus to ethernet.
1) My questions is, do i need one prolinx or two prolinx convertor?
2) If ONE prolinx is used, we need to daisy chain the two redundant siemens into the Prolinx, is it a correct configuration?
3) I think the siemens PLC must always become Master in this case, right?
Anyone can clarify? Thanks.

Still playing with the GuardPLC + Prolinx convertor <--- do not look good
