Everyone! I am new here. Does anyone have a simple way of explaining "indirect addressing"? I am student at my local technical college, taking advanced plc apps. We work with Allen Bradley MicroLogix 1500 programming. We were given a couple of programs to write/copy that do the same functions, but one used traditional logic while the other indirect addressing. The latter used less than half the rungs needed for the traditional logic. The origin and destination pointers still puzzle me a bit and I am having a difficult time wrapping my brain around the whole concept. Thanks for any help in understanding this.
