Hello,

I want add a new analog output module (6ES5 470-7LC12) in S5-115U central rack with variable slot addressing.
There are not free addresses in range 128...255 reserwed for analog modules.
Can I use for analog output modules the same address like for analog input modules? e.g. there is analog input moudule 6ES5 498-1AA71 with addresses PW176...PW190. Can I use the same PW176...PW190 for analog output module 6ES5 470-7LC12?

There is also Siwarex-M weighting module 7MH4553-1AA41 in ET-200 rack (IM308C in S5-115 Profibus connection with IM153).
The Siwarex module have address 208 (defined in DW1 in siwarex data block DB100 )
Can I use PW208...PW224 for analog output module?

>> Yes, you can use the same numbers.
In S5 L PW128 and T PW128 will access different IO cards.

>> If you read the Siwarex data from PW208, your suggestion surely will be total crash.

You can perhaps readress the IM308C to the (was it?) F200 area and blocktranfer the in and out values directly to a DB. Then you'll free the IM308 totally from the PW area. I did this some hundred years ago, but on 135 and 155's.
There were some trix with consistent data areas (don't quite remember - backwards transfering?). You'll have to confer the 308-manual to learn how to do it with 115U.

Good luck!

Edit: If you have space beneath PW128 you might adress your new card here. I'm not capable to remember if it was possible to address the 470 in this low area, perhaps you or some of the others here know.

PW128 address is already used by CP523.
I'll try next week (if there will be no production) to use PW176...PW190 for a new 470 module (PW176...PW190 already used for the analog input module).
