Combining HEX

I am trying to get data moved from a Modbus node through an Anybus communicator to a Compactlogix PLC. The water temperature 64.7 comes across as two HEX words 2 87. when combined and switched to decimal it is 647 again. How do i accomplish this in the PLC??
