We have several plc's networked together by controlnet and to better understand it we are building a training module. The Module consists of two racks with processor and one drive. Do i need to use t-taps on every thing? Or what do i need to set this up. Like i said this is for traing purposes. Thanks guys.

For reliable comms, yes, use the taps everywhere, and keep the shield isolated from ground.

For demo/bench testing, I've found that plain old BNC T connectors mostly work.
