hi guys
how are you?
I set the input of timer in simatic manager to MW0
but when the amount of MW0 became more than 1000ms it cause SF in my CPU314
what should I do please guide me

you know I want to insert for exampel 2h20min to timer not directly, by MW0 or other ...
how can I do that?

please compare the above with the image L D[AR2,P#0.0] posted.
 
2h20m = 140m = 8400s therefore 10s time base required (3) and timer value = 840 in bcd, thus value in MW0= 3840 Hex

This's my 1st post on this forum.
Thanks for the reply as it helped me as well(alongwith the originator of this thread) to get the "insight" of the S5TIME format ...... actually into binary bits !!
Siemens says , the maximum time this syntax can hold is 2H_46MIN_30SEC.
Is this beacause the max BCD digits run upto 999 and considering the maximum time base of 10s(bits 12 and 13 = 1 and 1), it will come to 9990 sec which is eventually 2h_46min_30sec?
OR Am I going wrong?
