GE Versamax

I'm trying to get the PLC to connect a robot picker. When I connect to Proficy
mismatch error an a not Equal. I'm thinking that's why I can't get it to connect
to the PC an PLC to Connect

What port on the PLC?
What cable?
What settings?
What is the exact error you are getting, and when?

I'm using a RS-232 cable with a ethernet end going to the plc.
The setting that I have is 8 none none and 1
On Proficy I'm getting mismatch error an a not Equal
On the PC that control the robot I can't get any kind of connection at all.
I go to telnet to see if I can connect to the PLC an still on luck

Sounds right!
The setting that I have is 8 none none and 1
That is only the parity, Baud by default i think is 19200/8/ODD/1 the first part is important also!
On Proficy I'm getting mismatch error an a not Equal
On the Logic or the Hardware Config?
On the PC that control the robot I can't get any kind of connection at all.
The baud rates need to match and the pinout of robot's serial port must be correct
I go to telnet to see if I can connect to the PLC an still on luck
Did not know that was possible, unless its used on the robot....then thats why i didn't know....

I can connect to Proficy but I can't connect to anything with the RS-232 not
even through hyperterminal
