I am getting that impression, have part of a print out of an existing installation, but need to know how the counters, timers, etc work.

Afraid I cannot really help you - have thrown everything out as we are replacing them everywhere in Ozz whenever we can.
The print outs are pretty 'cryptic' - have not seen one for some years now.

usedplcs, have you had any luck yet on finding out how the
Timers and the Counters work?
I have a dead PLS508 and now I'm into translating the PLC
program to Simatic S5 and what I'm missing is how Timers and
Counters work.
Otherwize, if there's anyone out there who has programmmed
Eberle PLC:s I'd be most grateful for any input here.

Example: L E 0.1 #START BY START PLUS
L KW 1
= TWB 0 #TWB TIMEWORDBASIS
L KW 80
= TWO 0 #TWO TIMEWORD
= T1 0 #TI0 TIMER PULSE

If I understand it correctly it's a 1 shot pulse timer for
every positive rising edge on input 0.1.
How does the timewordbasis work, is 0 for 1/100:s of seconds?
Timeword 80, is that in Decimal?
My free translation into S5 would be

A E 0.1
L KT 80.0
SP T 0

which would result in a 1 shot pulse on timer 0 on the rising
edge of input 0.1.
Pulse duration = (max) 0.8 S, provided that input 0.1 stays
on during atleast 0.8 S.
