This is regards to an SLC500, which has a Basic Module attached to the backplane. We use this for a barcode and printer application. The scanner had met its demise by one of our operator; I guess you can really complain it lasted over 3 years.
I’m having some issue with the configuration of the scanner properties. The Basic port for the scanner that I can see from the module program print out is (Mode PRT1,9600,E,7,1,N,R). When I scan my part using the “HyperTerminal” I can see my part number ok. When I hook it back to the module and scan my part and look at the String Data I can only see part of the part number.
Is there a buffer memory area in the Basic Module that I have to clear before configuring the scanner?
Thanks
Randy
