Hi why not use ethernet or usb as thesae ports are availablr. In my experience home made leads are not generally very good

but my model doesn't have usb port or ethernet. only 8 din port

I found this Idec pinout for the 8-pin mini-din connector. Use the post by TWControls for the computer end DB-9 female connector.
CAUTION: This may or may not work, I did not find the model number of the Idec PLC. Use at your own risk.
