Schneider Zelio relay logic

I got struck in the middle of writing a logic for automatic change over switch.

my task is to change the control from mains supply to generator supply when there is a power failure. I have written the logic and its working fine.

I need a 20sec delay when the change over happens. Could anyone help me in writing a timer function for this changeover.

Till now, i have written logic which i am sending to you as an attachment.

switch I1(Row1, Column2)-------is connected to phase failure relay.

when I2(r1c1) is closed, i.e, In auto mode.
when I1(r1c2) is closed it should delay for 20sec before it activates q1. but it isn't.

but when I1(r1c2) is open it is taking a delay of 20ms and activating q2. its working fine.

pls help.

Here is a little something I was trying before you posted the screenshot. Attached is my example, maybe you can use it for ideas. I was using the ZelioSoft-Com software for my example. I have since downloaded the ZelioSoft 2 to open your attached file.

hi mate,

i am working on this automatic transfer switch logic.

the program works fine in the software when i simulate it.

but, when it is connected to actual hardware and bench testing apparatus to simulate and verify correct logic operation ....it fails.

how different is it that it works in the simulator in the software and fails when connected to actual hardware.

any ideas,

cheers,
sandeep.

As best you can, please describe in detail step by step as to what is and is not happening when it fails during bench testing.
It would help to have a physical wiring diagram of the transfer switch as well as make and model. A pdf manual would be nice as well as a web-link to the transfer switch manufacturer. There could be any number of things keeping it from working. What first comes to mind is interlocking contacts as well as mechanical interlocks to prevent both contactors energizing at the same time.

PS.
Tharon types faster than I do :)
