I am trying to set up OPC communications to several Siemens CPU-317-2PN/DP via a ProfiNet connection. I have created all of the .sti files with no problem. I am attempting to get the basic communications set up using OPC Scout The problem that I am having is that OPC scout seems to be able to communicate to only one of the PLC's. In diagnostics it shows the connection to the other PLC's as broken. The PLC's are connected to the OPC server across various switches, but I believe that at least two of the PLC's are through the same switch. Looking for some clues as to what the issue might be. Does anyone know what Port number OPC servers uses to connect to the PLC? If I knew this I could make sure thatis not being blocked. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
