Hello, PLC guru,
it would be great if someone will help me.
We have a project with two FactoryTalk servers (redundant), and two clients.
All alarms are set as HMI tag alarms, not FT alarm and events. When the alarm occures, the system tries to play notification sound from server sound card. As server is not equipped with sound card, so beeper is activated instead.
But we need sound is to be played from client PC sound card (server is far from operator room). I think I could use Events for detecting and PlayWave command, when new alarms occures, but maybe other built-in way exists?
I suppose that such a task is very frequent and trivial, but so far can not find a solution.
