What are the restrictions with S7 Lite

Can it for example be used to program an IM151-8 PN/DP.

I have a feeling it would be the networking side that would let me down but I'm looking at 3 remote stations and possibly 2 small HMI, less than 100 I/O altogether.

If I can pop the software in free, then this may be a good alternative to put to a customer.

The short answer is "no".

STEP7 LITE can ONLY connect via MPI, and the IM151-8 has no possibility to add an MPI port.
