Ml 1500

i have ML1500 LRP (C), i want to use port number(1) as Modbus master , what i need is the D connector configuration , also the end resistance connection in both sides

The Channel 1 port on a MicroLogix 1500 "1764-LRP" controller is a "DTE" type RS-232 port.

This means that the pinout conforms to the Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) standard for RS-232 on this type of connector: http://www.db9-pinout.com/.

This is identical to the serial port on an ordinary laptop computer. It's also described in the MicroLogix 1500 User Manual on page 4-6.

Because RS-232 is only a point-to-point connection, there is no termination resistor used. If there is an RS-232 to RS-485 converter, post details about that device.

many thanks for you replay .... so you say that channel (1) in the ML1500 only can be used for point to point communication , even if it configured as Modbus master ?
