controllogix l64 and panel view 550 communication

it is possible that i use a contrologix serial port with AIC And work as a dh-485 port.

because i have 9 nos of panel view 550 and one clx l64.so i want to use AIC's and main thing is no 1756-DH-485 MODULE ONLY DF1 Port so is this possible.please let me have your valuable comments.

I am confused by your post.

What do you mean by "and main thing is no 1756-DH-485 MODULE ONLY DF1 Port" ?

My guess is that you do not want to purchase a 1756-DH485 module.

The serial port of the 1756-L64 controller is capable of being configured for DH485 protocol, but the physical wiring and performance may be a challenge.

It sounds like your PanelView 550 terminals are existing, and you are trying to convert them from connecting to an SLC-5/0x controller to connecting to a ControlLogix controller. Your previous post on this Forum was regarding an SLC -> ControlLogix conversion.

Please post the exact part number (2711-xxxx) of the PanelView 550 terminals, and a Forum member may be able to help you understand your options for connectivity to the ControlLogix.

panel view 2711-B5A2 PV550 Key/Touch, FRN 1.04-1.xx and controllogix l64.I have 9 panelv view's and my planning to connect 9 panel view's on dh-485 network.so please let me have the suggestion.

The 2711-B5A2 version 1.04-1.07 are extremely old Series A PanelView terminals from the early 1990's. I am impressed that they are still in operation.

The best way to connect these terminals is using 1747-AIC isolators to link them all together in a DH485 network, and then connect one 1761-NET-AIC isolator to the 1756-L64 controller's serial port.
