Good day,

I would like to ask something about selecting the right IAI PCON Pulse Train Motor Driver for my PLC which is Keyence KV-40DT(P). My application is very simple. I have a 1-axis RoboCylinder and I want to run it Forward/Reverse through Pulse Output.

IAI PCON has 2 Pulse Train Models, PL & PO:
1) PL - Differential Receiver Method (Differential line driver), 200kpps
2) PO - Open Collector,60kpps

Keyence PLC has 1 Pulse Output: 1 axis, 50 kHz max.

Now, my question is this:
1) What is the difference between Differential and Open Collector Pulse Train and what is applicable for the Keyence PLC?
2) Is kpps, Kilo Pulse Per Second?
3) Wiring between PLC and Motor Controller.

Sorry, I'm just a beginner in Motion Control. Thank you very much, hope you can help me.

Sincerely,
Andrei K.

Uhmmm... Can anyone just give me an explanation about the Differential and Open Collector Pulse Train. I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Andrei K.
