Siemens Fucntion Block

Hi to all,

I have doing a lot of programing in GE FAnuc PLC but I wanted to learn about seimens programming.I have Step 7 5.1. I can not understand about data blocks and function blocks.What is the best doccument of siemens that describes about this Block.

I recommend the books Automating with STEP7 in STL and SCL and Automating with STEP7 in LAD and FBD by Hans Berger. CDs with examples come with the books.

There is also a STEP7 Manual at Siemens website:HERE

HERE is a previous thread about FBs.

The hans Berger books are excellent. If you have not yet started using these types of blocks etc, use the Siemens How to.... Starter books (primers). These have been OK to get used to small complex parts to programming in S7.

Hello.

Since the Hans Berger books were brought up here, I have to ask this question. I'm from slovenia and i want to order Automating with STEP7 in LAD and FBD by Hans Berger. So where do you recomend that I order it from??? From amazon or somewhere else?? I have never ordered from the internet so this is the reason for my question.
