Lost S7cable, ethernet connection ?

Hello,

I lost my S7 cable (USB to MPI converter).
There is a new cabinet ready to test... but I have no MPI/PROFIBUS...

With TIA Portal and S71200, you can communicate with the CPU over ethernet.

The cabinet to test has a 319 PN/DP CPU. Can I get online (first time connection) when the CPU has not been given any adresses ?

Yes.
All our projects only have ethenet enabled CPUs.
I dont have any MPI or DP cable.

When you want to download the HW Config the very first time, you must scan for reachable devices. When the scan is finished, the CPU will appear by its MAC address. You will be prompted to set the IP address, and from then on the CPU can be reached by the IP address. I wrote a small guide about this in the downloads section ("How to set the IP adress on a factory fresh CPU").
