When calibrating pt100 do you compersate for room temperature and why?

No. O deg C = 100 ohms hence why it is called a PT100 so ambient means nothing

[FONT=&quot]You only compensate with thermocouples. Primary measurement elements that generate a milli-volt signal. PT100 changes in resistance as temperature changes.

That depends on which standard you use ( buy)

The American standard
0.00392 Ω/Ω/°C

European standard
0.00385 Ω/Ω/°C

Yes when the equipment is to be calibrated and not the sensor.
No when you want to calibrate a sensor only. (However this is depending on more factors like pressure, medium . Most people use a small heatfurnace with a referencesensor.
I only use ICE water to get them to Zero according to USDA req.
