slc5/05 RIO

Hi all ,
for RIO communication with SLC5/05 using a SN scanner And ASB adapter in a 13 Rack ,with 32Din , 16DO , 16DO , 16AI ,16A , I need some help configuring the g file on the SN and the switches on ASB.

i believe i should use 1 slot configuration ,i do know how to btr&btw the analogs,
i am not sure about the card placement and configuration!!

can i use less the 32 word on the io-map , if not i will be forced to move a at list i card from the main rack to thr remote rack in order to free some memory

Whenever possible, include the actual part numbers of the I/O modules for clarity.

Are you using this mix of modules and chassis to provide for future expansion, or because they are existing inventory ?

As you have described the system, you need to use "1/2 Slot Addressing", in which each physical slot of the chassis is allocated two 16-bit Words of Input memory and two 16-bit Words of Output memory.

Where "s" is the Slot number of the 1747-SN RIO Scanner module, and assuming the 1746-A13 is addresses as RIO Rack 00:

ASB
Slot 0 1746-IB32 I:s.0, 1
Slot 1 1746-OB16 O:s.2
Slot 2 1746-OB16 O:s.4
Slot 3 1746-NI16 Block Transfer to Rack 00, Group 6, Slot 0
Slot 4 1756-NI16 Block Transfer to Rack 01, Group 0, Slot 0

If you post the actual part numbers, I'm sure someone on the Forum will be willing to go through the 1747-SN DIP Switch configuration with you.

I'm not sure if this 1747-ASB can be configured to 1.25 "Racks" or if you have to configure it for 2.5 "Racks" because of its actual size.
