I have been trying to update the firmware multiple times now and still no luck...help!

I have it connected on the network, I can see it fine but I get stopped in the same spot every time with Control Flash or RSLogix AutoFlash. Here is an error log.

Welcome to the Forum !

You might get better results running this by RA Technical Support, since this is a log file that is generated by ControlFlash.

In general, I try to isolate a controller from the automation system before attempting a flash update. You need to be sure that something else in the system isn't going to try to attach the the controller in between ControlFlash segments.

Remove any CF cards, remove the battery, cycle power. Put the keyswitch in hard PROG mode. Use RSLinx Classic to change the IP address to a static address and disable DHCP/BOOTP.

This looks like an ordinary path from the ControlFlash computer to 192.168.10.50, then to the backplane, then to the CompactLogix itself.

You're not using the "engineering registry" hack to bypass device validation, are you ?

Make sure that you aren't looping from Ethernet, to the backplane, back to the Ethernet daughtercard object. That might account for the "path to self invalid" message.
