i have two siemens HMI's which i need to modify the programs for. (mp277)
is there anyway to generate the required file type (.hmi .mcp .pdb or .zip.v) from a backup.

Nope, without the original .hmi you're kinda out of luck.
The back-up's only purpose is to load it into a new panel.

You should try to get the original from the OEM or original programmer.
 
thanks for the reply, i thought as much

im trying my best with the OEM but they dont seem keen to sent it to me sadly
