Hi guys

there is a problem for E3+ when try to connected it with DeviceNet:
I could go online using RSNetworx for DeviceNet, the scanner(1756DNB) looks ok, there is no error message for this E3+ on scanner, but the LED for Communication on E3+ turn into red. my question is how come RSNETWORX for DEviceNet and Scanner could not see the error, and how to fix it?

Thanks

A solid red Network Status LED indicates either a duplicate node number or the wrong data rate (and that AutoBaud is disabled).

All old E3/E3+ modules without the rotary switches on the front came out of the box at Node 63 with Autobaud enabled. You had to use a software tool to set the Node Number.

The modern E3's are a lot easier to set, but those tiny rotary switches can easily be bumped to the wrong value. I like to use a jewelers screwdriver and rotate them very carefully through the appropriate number of clicks from the top position.
