DH485 set up question

Hi all,
If you were given these circumstances what would be your advice to do with this old equipement.....throw out and start over is unfortunately not an option.
I have (10) 5/03's each set up with its own PV600. The request is in to pull data from each and do it as cheap as possible. So I'm thinking DH-485 with 1747-AIC at each machine. Oh total distance is only about 300'. The supervisor of the department wants a PV in his office to be able to view the data.......Yes I would rather put in into excel or something but i lost this battle.
would you guys do the same with what I'm handed?

Are the PanelView 600 terminals connected to the SLC-5/03 controller's Channel 1 DH-485 network port or to the Channel 0 RS-232 serial port ?

You'll either use 1747-AIC isolators to network the controllers' Channel 1 ports, or use 1761-NET-AIC isolators to network the controllers' Channel 0 ports.
