Hi everyone

Does anyone know what SIL are the PLC5 I/O cards? If I have a pressure instrument which is SIL2 (guarantees the safe fail) connected to PLC5 1771-IFE card, is it still SIL2? Is the 1771-IFE safe fail also?

Thank you!

Remember, its friday! 🍺

I don't think 1771 modules have passed any SIL qualifications.

The whole system will not be SIL certifiable if one component isn't.
