1. Software: either GP-Pro or QuickDesigner. These are two completely different software packages.
2. Cable: just an Ethernet cable. The unit has an Ethernet port and there is a method of setting up the IP address. Check www.pro-face.com for documentation.
Remember, this is an old model and may no longer be supported by Pro-face.
