Hi, we have a bad output on a SM-332 analog output module that controls a modulator on our oven. Since this plant uses primarily AB PLC's I have very little knowledge on Siemens.

My question is, can I power down the PLC and take my spare SM332 card and just swap it out with the new card and be off and running again or will I have to download the program to the card or is there another procedure??

I will have about an hour next week when I can power down the PLC so I want to be as prepared as possible. I looked through the SM 332 manual and searched the web and haven't found an answer yet. I am sure this is common knowledge for the Siemens gurus here.

Thanks for the help!

Turn off the power and swap (push the plastic "buttons" the top and bottom to remove the connector, the wire can stay on the connector
Also there is one screw at the bottom of the module and the module flips up from bottom to top
A two second job
Your good to go
