I have Protool RT V6.0 SP3 installed on a PC with windows XP. In the PC I have a 5611 MPI card which is connected to port1 of a CPU226. It's an old project I have done and now the CP5611 card is destroyed. We have a PC adapter USB 6ES7-972-0CB20-0XA0 which I connected on the PC on which Micro/Win is also installed. From Micro Win I connect fine to the PLC but it's impossible to connect via Protool RT. Every time I run Protool I receive the error : Port could not be opened or is being used by another application
It seems that Protool is not accessing the port at all as I see no activity on the LED of the adapter. I checked baud rates, addresses and everything seems to be ok. I played around with various settings- MPI, DP e.t.c but still nothing. Any ideas?

Thanks
George
