I have wrote many times I am new to programming but I feel I am picking it up quickly with everyone's help. I have only worked with Allen Bradly so far but wouldn't mind learning step 7. My question is how similar is siemens logo soft to step 7?

you say subjective but what i really want to know is if i picked up on Siemens logo soft would i be able to fumble my way through other Siemens programs? I do understand that they will be different like RSlogix500/5000. I would like to learn S7 but cant afford to pay tons for software or school.

Logo is just a smart-relay. It's programmed differently and for simplier tasks than S7 PLC.

Logo soft comfort is not a good start if You wish advancing into S7 world.
Try S7-200 or S7-1200 or just go for Step 7 ;)

This one's (Winplc) comes with a demo-mode and build-in-simulator and has the same instructions like S7:

You could also try the step7-lite version(free download) but it doesn't come with a buildin simulator.
