I am running a L32E. I am keeping a master count for a machine. I would like to know if there is a way to write the master count to a location that is will not be over written by downloading a new program to the controller. I was thinking I could do this with a memory card??? Any ideas?

Thanks!

The 1769-L32E CompactLogix controllers contain a CompactFlash media slot.

Refer to :

http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/ap/logix-ap007_-en-p.pdf

It states on the front cover that covers only ControLogix class controllers, however, I believe it applies to all Logix Class controllers with external removable media provisions.

Also :http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/pm/1756-pm017_-en-p.pdf

might give you an idea about implementing your intention.
