I'm trying to connect a Leeson SM2 drive to an M258 PLC using SoMachine on CANopen network.

My problem is that I cannot figure out how to configure this drive on SoMachine. I've looked everywhere online and can not find any documentation on how to do this.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!
Martino

Dont know the somachine at all but it schneider so there should be somethings similar to m340. You will need a pdo file from the drive manufacturer and then you will have to be able to import that pdo file into the somachine software. (hardware catalogue manager or whatever they use)

How to install .EDS file

You need to have the device .EDS file (please contact the manufacturer for obtaining the .EDS file). Then you can drop the .EDS file on the CANopen network of the M258 controller.

Attached are the steps to install the .EDS ( once you have saved it on your PC)

If you don't mind me asking why the leeson drives? Using the Schneider 312 drive is already in the software and makes setup a lot easier.

thanks for the response, I was able to obtain the EDS file from leeson and created the block!

and i didnt choose leeson.. that's just what was spec'd to use
