Hello everybody

I have a doubt and I don´t find the answer reading the user manual.

I would like to know if is possible to do the next, see the picture, change the panel view for my SLC500, and if is possible is the same cable? Can I do it?

Thank you very much

If I understand your question, you want to remove the PV and install a SLC5/03?

Then the answer is yes the same cable should work. 1761-CBL-AS09 0r AS03.

Today I have made the cable following the pinout that I found here
http://www.plctalk.net/qanda/showthread.php?t=45862
Thank you!

The problem now is with RSLinx. If I don´t choice Auto-configure I have the following parameters
Baud rate: 19200
Parity: None
Stop Bits: 1
Station Number: 00
Error Checking CRC
Protocol: Full Duplex

But I don´t find my SLC and if I try with Auto-Configure the next failure appear

Any suggestion is welcome.

If you are plugged into the RJ45 port of the SLC5/03 that is a DH485 port. You need to use DH485 protocol driver in RSLinx.

If your PC has a real serial port then use the 1747-PIC/AIC+ driver. If not then you will need a USB to DH485 converter 1747-UIC.

Thanks again for your advised Mickey!

Yes, my PC have a real serial port, let me asked one more question, I need 1747-PIC or 1747-UIC device? Or have I to choice the driver 1747-PIC/AIC+ in RSLinx drivers?
I was looking for some information and I found this http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?showtopic=19081 that is the reason why I tried with RS232-Df1 drivers.

Thank you again

Do you have a real serial port on your PC?

What operating system are you using XP service pacK? ?

Is RSLinx running as a service?

There are a few other reason why that old driver may not work see pdf's below.
